I am really not happy about the lack of action the league has taken against the Bruins Chara on the hit to Max Pacioretty. The league must change! I am gad to see some change in regards to headshots-thats good but it does not go far enough.

A NEW STANDARD
The new standard should be IMPEDE NOT INJURE! Checking in hockey should be about impeding players so they are taken out of the play-not injuring them. Any play that is aimed at injuing another player should not be tolerated. The person checking should be responsible for the results of their checks and if a player tries to injure another player and does not suceed, it should be called.

WHY?

Well first because hockey is about watching players with skill play the game, that is what i want to see, injured players can't play.
Players-if your are your injured no more hockey; you injure someone, you live with it.
Owners-injured, lost a valuable asset and, for very popular players, loosing money.
League-bad optics-loose customers & loose money if player is big draw like say Sidney Crosby & also, why do you think Washington is drawing people-speed, skill, etc not violence.
Stick Infractions-it does not matter if your stick hits someone accidently or not, it is a penalty because you are responsible for your stick-likewise players should be responsible for their bodies and what they do with them.

While i may get more angry at a player getting injured on the Canadiens, i want no players injured and all players held to account, even those on my team.

Another site i enjoy going to for hockey info is the TSN site. Its packed with all sorts of great stuff-check it out.

THE ALL-STAR GAME IS GREAT

I wanted to comment on the All-Star Game because so many hockey commentators and analysists are negative about the game, suggesting we would be better off with out it.

Come on you guys, lighten up.

This is not a "Hockey Game"; we get lots of those, especially in the play-offs. This is fun; a chance to see some of the best, most skilled players play and show off their skills in a game and in the skills competition.

I really enjoy it, i want it to stay with us. So relax you hockey purists and have some fun.

CBS site gives great game breakdown
I really like the CBS sports hockey site because it gives you, via GameTracker, a great visual, statistical breakdown of each game-where all the shots came from on the ice, where the goals were scored from on the ice, the three stars, etc. Take a look, i think you will find it a fun way so see how your game of interest went.
